Trauma Nurse Practitioner
Reka Manfre has served critically ill or injured patients at RWJUH since 2005. As a trauma nurse practitioner she specializes in the resuscitation and management of injured children and adults and is responsible for coordinating interdepartmental services to best serve the patient’s needs.
Reka serves as adjunct clinical faculty at the Graduate School of Nursing University of Pennsylvania, where she earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing. Her presentations include the topic of hyponatremia, entitled “From Results to Diagnosis” at the American Society of Clinical Laboratory Science.
Prior to joining the RWJUH team, Reka was a nurse in the Emergency Department at New York-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, caring for adult and pediatric patients with multi-system trauma, medical, and surgical emergencies. She is co-chair of the institution-wide APN Council. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau, Emergency Nurses Association and the Wilderness Medical Society.
